Known for its strong performance and a comfortable two-row cabin, the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer seats five and offers an impressive amount of horsepower in its engines, as well as all-wheel drive, for times when you need to venture beyond the pavement. Its tech features are also praiseworthy, with both entertainment and driver-assist features offered for just about every occasion.

Performance

The 2023 Blazer’s two engine choices both provide plenty of power, with the base option being a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that delivers 228 horsepower. If you should need more muscle, the other engine is a 3.6-liter V6 with 308 horsepower, and both engines come with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to an available all-wheel drive, which is more than capable of taking this SUV through tough terrains, there’s also a more advanced twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system that’s available for the RS trim, if you should need more traction.

Interior

Inside the Blazer’s cabin, you’ll find room for as many as five passengers, and while the dual-zone climate control certainly helps to combat rough weather outside, so can the leather-trimmed seats, as they offer a heating function.

With a standard 60/40 partition seat in the back and up to 64.2 cubic feet of cargo space, you’ll have no problems moving cargo in and out of the cabin and finding room for it.

Technology

Advanced tech features can be found throughout this edition’s cabin as well, including multiple USB ports for charging smaller devices, an available wireless charging pad, and an eight-speaker premium sound system, courtesy of Bose.

While the standard Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus System offers just about everything you need to stay entertained and connected, there’s also a Premium version available, which comes with a navigation assistance feature, allowing you to chart your destinations with detailed turn-by-turn instructions.

Safety

Many of the 2023 Blazer’s safety features use radar sensors to detect threats before they become collisions, including Forward Collision Alert and Front Pedestrian Braking. Both of these systems can sense when you’re approaching either vehicles or pedestrians too quickly and will alert you to this, at which point the Automatic Braking System will then attempt to stop the vehicle if you don’t react quickly enough.

If another vehicle is approaching you while you have your high beams on, the IntelliBeam High Beam Assist will automatically switch them to low beams until the vehicle passes to prevent distractions.

Few SUVs offer both a luxurious cabin and all-wheel drive alongside powerful engine performance, yet this one does and adds plenty of impressive technology as well.
