When the fourth-generation Silverado was first introduced in 2019, fans immediately took this full-size pickup truck to their hearts. Tough and reliable, it also offers a level of comfort and adaptability that allows buyers to build a vehicle that’s perfectly suited to their lifestyle.

Options and Configurations

The Silverado 1500 is configured around any combination of the single, double, or crew cab, and the short, regular, or long bed. Rear and all-wheel drives are available, with 8 or 10-speed transmission. There are also four available powertrains, a 2.7l turbo, a 5.3l or 6.2l Ecotec V8, and a 3.0l Duramax diesel engine.

The Silverado is available in eight trim levels. These are:

  • The base level Work Truck (WT)
  • Custom
  • Custom Trail Boss
  • LT
  • RST
  • LT Trail Boss
  • LTZ
  • High Country

In addition, a new model, the ZR2, debuted in the 2022 refresh. With the 6.2 Ecotec V8 engine, upgraded suspension, skid plates, steel bumpers, and Multimatic DSSV dampers, it’s configured for optimal off-roading performance.

More Style

Chevrolet has taken the opportunity to update the front end of the Silverado in the 2022 refresh. Lower headlights highlight the sense of stability and strength, and the front fascia has been remodelled. Trims from the LT up have also seen a redesigned interior, with smooth horizontal lines to enhance the sense of space.

Glacier Blue Metallic, Sand Dune, and Dark Ash are new colors, bringing the total number of exterior paintwork options to ten.

More Strength

The Silverado now comes top in several in-class torque comparisons, thanks to added strength to the block casting and crankshaft on the 2022 Silverado Ltd. Following the deletion of the 4.3l V6 engine, the 2.7l turbo engine is now standard on the WT, and gives 420 pound-feet of torque. This means that the base model Silverado is stronger than any competitor.

More Safety

The inclusion of Chevrolet Safety Assist as standard on all models means that your Silverado now has a suite of features dedicated to keeping you safe behind the wheel. There’s automatic braking when the vehicle senses a pedestrian in front, or in an emergency. The Silverado also features forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, lane-keeping assistance and warnings, and automatic high beam headlights, all of which mean that you get extra assistance on the road.

Super Cruise driver assistance is also available on the High Country.
